Logan has seen the uphill battle his mom fought without the protection of a union, so he’s passionate about sharing how unions will ensure the health, well-being, and economic security of workers in every field, and how – in the middle of a health crisis – they’re now more important than ever.
“Having a union behind you has always been of great benefit to my friends and family. Growing up my mother often faced many trials and tribulations as her non-unionized jobs would never fight for her. They couldn’t have cared less to give the basic rights she needed in the workplace, nor did they provide a safe environment, hell there were many times where we were worried she’d be “dismissed” from her job without warning. A safe environment in particular is what matters most right now as she is employed by a hospital and the grandest of pandemics. It’s important that people know that having a union is like having another family who is there to truly look out for your best interest. So knowing that she has a union looking out for her, brings me great comfort.”
