“As my family grows I can’t help but to look back at my own family growing up and think of how my parents were able to support us growing up.
My dad was a union member for over 20 years and this meant that as a working class man, he could have the support and job security to achieve many dreams like becoming a homeowner and giving his children a home of their own. For many Latinx families this is part of the American dream and my father, a working class man from a small town in Puebla, Mexico, was able to achieve it.”
