No one can deny that this has been a trying year for educators, and Sadricka, a second grade teacher, has plenty of stories to prove it. One of those stories is about how teachers’ unions have brought together so many of her colleagues in support of one another as they all work to keep the next generation on track and safe as they prepare for their future.
As the demand to fill teacher positions rises, so do the many hats teachers wear to fulfill the very rigorous title.
Unions help support teachers in a variety of ways. Financially, it helps teachers from political changes, it allows teachers to voice their opinions, but most importantly it allows teachers to come together as one to provide support, guidance, and advice for teachers in all areas.
All in all, unions give educators the added support needed to function and perform their job successfully. Unions give educators a voice and power to set the demands needed to feel supported in a highly demanding field.
