NYC registered nurse Matt Scotto knows firsthand that now more than ever it’s important to appreciate and support one another, and to come together to make a difference. His words are a mantra.

“I’ve never thought of myself as a hero. Growing up, I didn’t take compliments well. When I became a nurse, I started to see the impact I had on the lives of people I meet every day. Sometimes it’s hard to appreciate the efforts of those around us, especially during a health crisis like the one we’re living through today. Now, more than ever, I am so proud to be doing what I love to do alongside my fellow warriors working in healthcare. Today, we are the ones on the front lines. Today, we are the heroes.”
