I serve the State of Florida’s Administrative Office of the Court as the 11th Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Unit Calendar Coordinator. Making me a municipal and essential worker. I am proud of the work I do and grateful that I have had the opportunity to work remotely since the beginning of the pandemic. But I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t excited for the future. To walk the streets of Downtown Miami again, grab my favorite afternoon coffee that is just a short metro rail ride from the courthouse, and to be able to see my coworkers again…I am celebrating Congress’ passage of the American Rescue Plan because it has benefited my community, my job, my family and my life.
Big Impacts and Small Pleasures
Krystal is an essential worker in the state of Florida’s court system, and while the American Rescue Plan will make some very important large scale impacts on her and her job, Krystal is just as grateful for the small pleasures it will help her to once again enjoy.
