“This year, being a part of a union has been extremely important to me. COVID-19 has drastically changed the world we live in and has impacted my life in so many ways. As a speech language pathologist (SLP), I had to pivot from 100% in person therapy to 100% distance learning which was a stressful and drastic change. One of the most important factors needed at every job is a safe and appropriate work environment. The union that I am a part of advocates for me if I am not provided that important necessity. They continue to bargain for safe and equitable conditions for us during these difficult times, and for that, I feel extremely grateful.”
