Che’terra credits her teacher’s union with empowering her to create a more robust, diverse, and safe learning environment for both her fellow teachers and her students. She’s always been a great teacher, but her union has helped her become a super teacher!
“It’s no secret that it takes a “super” person to be an educator. It’s also no secret that being an educator comes with many responsibilities. I am in a Teacher’s Union that offers us teachers insurance, and helps us better ourselves in order to grow as educators. Having access to articles about many topics, including diversity in the classroom, helps us to grow and move forward, allowing our classrooms to be safe, welcoming learning environments. Being in a Union has allowed me to be the best educator I can possibly be.”
