I am here to seek education and to educate! Not until recently did I realize what a Union member is, their significance in our society, and all they represent and do for many of our loved ones. . Unions help millions of citizens secure better pay, healthcare, a good retirement, and fair treatment on the job. Now this is crucial especially because of the times we live in today. A great trade union is the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and they help represent over 1.6 million retirees, healthcare workers, firefighters, and many more public employees. . This is something we should all be more aware of because they help get our voices heard and ultimately fight for Human Rights and if we don’t fight for ourselves, who will?
