“For years, since the beginning stages of the country’s development, Black people have been treated unfairly & fought for equality. While we still certainly aren’t treated as equals, Unions have ensured that we can grow closer.

As a black woman in the medical field, it is my job to save lives. Essential workers are the glue of the nation. While everyone is sleeping, most of us are up all hours of the night, saving lives, preparing food, cleaning etc.. in UNITY thanks to our Unions. Just 57 years ago, a black medical assistant like myself could never work under a white doctor or even attend school with a lot of my white classmates like I do now. It is thanks to Unions & everyone who has fought over the years to bring equality to this nation so that we can all stand in unity with justice for all.”
